Standards Relating to Juror Use and Management
In 1993, the then-Judicial Administration Division drafted nineteen standards to define the use and management of juries at civil and criminal trials. Five years later, a twentieth standard regarding juror privacy was appended to the document. As part of the American Bar Association's ongoing project to re-codify these procedures on an association-wide level, our previous standards are being made available for download to those who wish to evaluate the proposed new standards in relation to the Division's former version. The standards can be downloaded from several separate files (below) or as one complete document. (Note: The entire document is over 100 pages long and could take considerable time to download depending on your speed of connection.)
