New Program

In this CLE Now! free streaming audio program, our faculty will identify key steps lawyers should take to try to avoid malpractice claims. Though some might be obvious, our panelists will uncover some of the hidden malpractice traps. The program will also look at key strategies for defending against malpractice claims once they're filed and examine what lawyers need to look for in their malpractice policies to make sure they're appropriately covered.

Current Developments in Tax Law 2008

The unprecedented events affecting the economy in 2008 have been well documented. However, recent tax legislation that contains a number of provisions to help taxpayers caught up in the financial crisis has received less attention. This program will help participants understand these tax law rescue provisions to help your clients weather the storm.
New Program
In this audio program, Aisha Bierma discusses fair housing laws as they are applicable with seniors with disabilities. The Fair Housing Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Rehabilitation Act and state fair housing laws are covered. This program was recorded in conjunction with the 2008 Equal Justice Conference: Pursuing Justice - Balancing Challenges and Opportunities held in Minneapolis on May 7, 2008.

MCLE Information
MCLE accreditation is subject to each state's regulations. Full participatory credit may be available in some while others may only allow credit as self-study. The specific requirements of the individual states vary substantially vary. For example, only "experienced attorneys" as defined by the state of New York may earn credit for online courses. In Illinois, courses recorded or produced prior to January 1, 2006 are not eligible for credit and courses may only be used for credit in Illinois within the 2-year period after the original recording/production date.
