Open Call for Suggested Presentations
ABA National Conference on Children and the Law Washington, D.C. May 14-16, 2009
The American Bar Association, through the ABA Center on Children and the Law and other ABA entity collaborators, has since 1979 held a national conference (generally, every two or three years) to bring together child law practitioners, academics, policy professionals, program administrators, and child advocates generally for a multi-day educational opportunity.
The 2009 conference is the Center’s 30th anniversary conference and has the theme: Representing Your Client and Advocating for Change.
Between now and November 28th only, we are considering, suggestions for conference TOPICS and SPEAKERS.
If interested in proposing a session, please provide, on the special web form, a description of the session with potential title, and if speakers/presenters are suggested, please provide their titles and affiliations. Note that we want, as much as possible, to limit session speakers to no more than 1 or 2. Also, please provide all the information the form requests so that we can contact you by e-mail or phone to further explore your proposal.
Note also that all presenters are expected to develop useful written materials for their session (not simply Power Point slides), and that, although presenters will have their conference registration fee waived, they will be responsible for their own costs in attending.
Thank you. Howard Davidson, Director, ABA Center on Children and the Law davidsonha@staff.abanet.org
